Because they have a mental illness

They are mentally ill and delusional people.

And once they "transition," they discover that their problems are even worse.

This is why sex-change operations must be criminalized.

And the suffering trans women placed in asylums until they are cured.

For the same reason gay people used to in the past, because they get treated like monsters or like they are just crazy

Because they're already dealing with the dysphoria of being born in a body of the wrong sex and having to cope with that physical mismatch, and then society takes a sh!t on them with hate, rejection, bigotry, prejudice, harassment, abuse, assault, attack, and even the risk of murder, from strangers, classmates, teachers, coworkers, employers, and even their own damn families.  A person can only take so much from a world that treats them like worthless garbage.  That's why the percentage of trans people who commit suicide is so high.  They deserve the same love, acceptance, respect, and dignity that anyone else would get so they can see their life is worth living.

The existential conflict between what they feel and what they see in the mirror, and the abuse, rejection and denial they get from others.

A huge amount of minority stress inflicted upon them by an ignorant society.

The good news is the rate usually goes down dramatically with treatment. By a couple years after transition the rate isn't all that much higher than the general population.

What part of being lgbtq do you belive is easy, when there are evangelical leaders fighting for the legalized right to discriminate in public law the public sector in the name of God, the same God that many lgbtq poeople worship.

Discrimination in the name of God, IS sin, no matter if you belive lgbtq people are sinners or not, which most christians do not.
