Beef jerky is high in protein. Consuming protein is important for weight loss because it digests slower than carbohydrates, so you will feel full for a longer amount of time. Another bonus for beef jerky is that it doesn't produce insulin, which is a hormone that signals the body to store fat.

Yes beef jerky can be a part of a healthy weight loss plan. However unless you can make it yourself, any of that which you buy in a store, will have very high amounts of sodium. Which to much can cause a an unwanted rise of blood, and can eventually increase the risk for a heart attack.

Neither good nor bad specifically. It can be high in calories and sodium (especially the flavored ones like teriyaki or bbq). Consumed in moderation, it's okay (like anything else).

Yes because it will cause you to vomit uncontrollably for a long period of time.  Of course, this is not a healthy way to lose weight.

It is ok.  It is pure protein and all of the fat has melted away.
