How much interest earned per year?

John buys 500 shares of mkbel (make believe) stock. It sells for $7.62 a share. The dividend yield per share is .72 cents annually. How much interest will he earn per year? Thank you.

    500*0.72= $360 in dividends per year.

    You mean, how much dividend he earns, not how much interest. Interest & dividends are different things. 

    He bought 500/7.62  shares. Nope! He bought 500 shares. I need to learn how to read. 

    Then, for each share, he gets 0.72$. So, multiply the 500 by 0.72. The answer will be how much money, dividends, you made/received. 

    So, what is your final answer?
