Can I still get unemployment from Texas after I moved back to Mississippi?
I worked in Texas for 3 years and in March of 2020 my job slowed down so I filed for unemployment and got it! I have received it up into December 2020, soon as the new year hit they told me I was ineligible because I live in Mississippi! I live in Mississippi but I worked in Texas. Should I appeal this decision?

You must actively be looking for work in Texas and be available to work in Texas to qualify for Texas benefits. This does not mean you MUST live in Texas; employees who live in neighboring states near the border with the employing state might qualify, but you have Arkansas or Louisiana between you and Texas. You have no grounds for a successful appeal.

yes, you need to appeal this decision. you should also ask the Mississippi system if you're eligible there
