What good does it do; to impeach a president who already left office anyway?  He didn't want pay anyway for his service.  WTH?

Some have argued it is to cut of his benefits after he left office.  I give Trump this:  He never sought any sort of financial pay for serving as president; and for that Trump is honorable.  However, impeaching him is like spinning wheels on ice...for the dude already left.  He is already a billionaire; so would it really hurt him to take his severance pay away from him?  Anyone out there agree with my train of thought?

So he can't run again.  Donating his pay was a publicity stunt and he had to be called on it before he would actually do it.

Donald Trump is a failure as a businessman.  He made millions off the US government on his golf trips.  He is a conman.  He made millions off his supporters that donated to his voter fraud investigation.

I don’t think impeachment is enough. He should be criminally charged. But impeachment is a start. It puts a stain on his legacy. If convicted, trump would never be allowed to hold public office again, he would lose his $200k a year pension, lose his secret service protection, and he would no longer be eligible to receive classified national security information. Trump may have donated his salary as a publicity stunt, but he certainly made a lot more by questionable methods. He always made a point of staying at his own properties and charged top rates. His hotels charged Trump’s staff and secret service detail over $600 a night each, just so they could do their jobs. Trump made hundreds of millions on his “stop the steal” scam.

They could also remove his secret service detail. He gave up 1.6 million dollars in salary. He made over a 100 million scamming his followers about election fraud. Every conman throughout history would love to have 45 cult as victims. They would praise you for the privilege of being conned

"He didn't want pay anyway for his service." YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!  We haven't had any President at all since November - just a golfer who likes to give away medals. If he's convicted - we hope - he can't hold office again.

Sure, he never took any pay, but he spent over 150 million golfing.  you know, golfing, that thing he said he wouldn't have time for as president yet somehow managed to spend 1/3rd of his days in office doing anyway.

And he was impeached while he was in office. Now it's time for the senate to do the right thing and convict him.

What good does it do to file charges against a person who embezzled millions from his company after he quit his job?

Gee, put that way, what you and I both posted here both sound really stupid, wouldn't you say?

Trump was one of the most courageous presidents ever.
