First, low costs are typically only for citizens of a country. Foreign students always have expenses citizen-students do not incur. Most European countries limit university admissions, so getting in is extremely stressful, and academic demands in many European universities are very high, comparable to the more prestigious & demanding universities in US, Canada, etc. If the school is any good, it's going to be stressful. Education is always a stressor as you must learn, perform, change your mindset & behavior. If a school is not demanding, no degree from that institution is worth anything - you haven't learned anything, including learning how to manage stress!
