"Given name one character."
That is, one's given name is only one character in length. This isn't uncommon in Japanese, as a single kanji can potentially have a reading of two, three or even four syllables.
To the other two answerers, this is the peril of using machine translation. "下の名前" can literally mean "the name below", but in Japanese it refers to one's given name (it technically means "last name", but in Japanese the given name comes last, the family name first.)
