I'm a medium strong link to these 2 people and I think they were great friends.. both had similar experiences.. pushed into the limelight young and all of that.. and both absolutely brilliant!

They will have met because they were the two biggest recording artists in the 80's so will have mixed in the same circles. I don't think there was anything other than that, though.
