My headlights went out... do you recommend $50 Sylvania Silverstar Ultra bulbs as replacement?

No.

Those bright headlight bulbs don't last as long. 

And worse, if they are not properly aimed, their greater glare is a safety problem. 

People who can't see well at night, shouldn't drive at night.

Put the bulb recommended in the manual.

No. Just get the cheapest ones. I had both and theres not a noticeable difference.

For two bulbs that isn't bad and they are very good bulbs. So yes recommend SS-Ultras.
