they not only can see it, they are able to take it apart and see all the different DNA molecules that make it up and design a protein that will attack and kill it.  That is how they made the COVID-19 vaccines.

I can accept the existence of many things that can not be seen. 

Inert gases like Helium, Radon and Neon can not be seen, but we can go into a lab and test for them. Our lab tests will prove that they all exist.

Similarly we can run tests for the coronavirus, and prove that the patient is indeed suffering from Covid-19. 

Atheists would then ask how we can test for the existence of any and all gods using scientific methodology in a lab. To date no test has been produced that makes that possible.
