Has anyone who lost taste or smell from COVID got it back?

I came down with something a couple of weeks ago- headaches, body aches, congestion, and some nausea. I think it may have been COVID. Sometime in the last few days, my smell and taste started to be affected. Coffee, sweet things, and some other items all seem to smell and taste the same- like a bitter, slightly metallic, rather soapy taste and smell. It’s not too pleasant, and obviously concerning, especially if it’s a long term effect.

Has anyone who had COVID and experienced a loss of taste and/or smell got it back?

Almost everyone gets their olfactory senses back within 3 weeks.

You can get a covid antibody test to see if you had covid.

There is treatment to attempt to restore the olfactory senses if they appear to not return on their own.

Yes but I had a mild case with no symptoms.
