Is the Honda CRV considered a luxury car since you are getting more features than some Mercedes Benz at that price point?
Also doesn't Honda use Acura parts?

Uhh no it's not considered luxury at all .The acuras may be seen as more luxurious That's about it The fact it has more amenities than a entry level MB .Key word is entry level MB The ones your asking about are to compete with cars like honda or toyota If you were gonna buy a Mercedes A proper one it'll have much more stuff than any honda could ever be sold with Your thinking of the entry level crappy MB that never did come with too.many things anyway .The Honda while nice can't compare to MB except in class size only the Honda isn't a luxury vehicle Comparing a lower class MB to a Honda it's still below the MB in my opinion. I always thought honda cars to be overrated tin cans on wheels anyway But that's my opinion.

No. It is a crossover sport utility vehicle. Put lipstick on a pig and it is still a pig.

There is more to a luxury car then having the same or more features!
Consider the 1915 Model T:

Compared to the 1915 Benz:

or the 1915 Daimlier:

The same is true today. The Honda is a Honda, the quality of workmanship just is not there when compared to that of a Mercedes Benz. I used Daimler and Benz because Mercedes Benz as such did not exist. What we know of as Mercedes Benz is the result of the companies Daimler and Benz combining.
Any way the Model T had all of the features of both but was the working classes car.

By that reasoning a late model minivan is considered a sports car because it can out-handle some old Porsche.
