If a guy knows how to communicate and not shy when one on one but shy when asking out, then is the turnoff?

I'm introverted and reserved but I can be talkative or get the conversation going, asking questions, answering questions, or being goofy, etc. I can also have a deep conversation as well but I'm not 100% confident.
