Hard lump behind ear?

I just noticed there's a lump behind my right ear. I'm getting an MRI for causes of papilledema anyway. I have occasional ringing in that ear and I get lightheaded. But anyway, why is there a lump there?

Without a better description, it's impossible to say. But that usually means a carbuncle or acne cyst.
