If Jesus hated religion and the word Christian only appears 3 times in the bible and is considered a religion. ?

Why cannot I just be a follower of Christ and not a Christian which is a religion. Changes made to our Bible from man have mixed up the word of God and I believe we are not even reading everything we should be able to know . How many denominations and different believes are there now .

Jesus called out corrupt religion officials. He never eschewed authentic religion. To the contrary, Jesus went to great lengths to personally fulfill all the requirements of the authentic religion of his time. Jesus Christ personally founded, authorized, empowered and perpetually guaranteed the Holy Catholic Church, for the purpose of our salvation. He never founded or authorized any other. Similarly, Jesus appointed the Catholic Church as the sole operating authority of the New Covenant. He never gave that type of authority to the Bible, alone. Catholic theological resources are superb, extensive and complete, spanning two thousand years and written by the greatest saints and scholars of all the ages. The original Catholic Latin Vulgate Bible translation, accomplished by Saint Jerome, in the early 4th century, using all the original, infallible and inerrant source documents, has been accurately curated and preserved, and is as close as anyone can hope to get, to the originals, which have long since turned to dust. Despite the inevitable human corruption that exists in this world, Jesus personally guaranteed that the Holy Catholic Church that he established and paid for with his own blood, would remain here for us, until the end of time. Those who faithfully take him at his word will not be disappointed.

I am no fan of religion …because

“Religion is what man thinks of God …Christianity is what God wrought through Jesus Christ..”

You can turn anything into religion, but the word Christianity (if I remember right) came from Antioch and was used to describe the believers who stated they had Christ in them (Col 1:27)

The word in and of itself is not bad …but if it bothers you just use the word “Believer”

As for additions and changes in transmission to the bible …there are some…absolutely. But that is why we endeavor to do what 2 Timothy 2:15 states ..

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be

ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

The word of God has to fit together …and it does. By using the specific keys and principles to understanding the Bible, we work it to see how it fits, by letting the Bible interpret itself.

There are no changes in the Bible and "Christian" fits the description of "religion."

    he/she/it believes

Because of the meaning of the word "Christian" in English.

    In English

if you are a follower of Christ

    then you are a Christian

whether or not you want to be labeled "Christian".

But that suggests the "Head" with out the "Body".  Have you tried that on yourself (except, of course for your brain)?  (Ephesians 5:23, Colossians 1:18)  If what you suggest is true, then what is your source about Christ, if the Bible  has been tampered with?

How many "beliefs", not 'believes'. You can be a follower of whomever you wish to follow, and no one is forcing you to ascribe to Christianity which is based on a heavily edited, translated, revised, re-edited, re-translated and re-revised book written by a few very ambitious men trying to start a religion with themselves at the top.

If the word "Christian" indeed only appears in the Bible 3 times, that in no way proves that it is a wrong term to use.
