Blacks living in a Government housing project since the 1960's have been voting Democrat every year, yet they still are poor, why?

I think that was the plan. See, you had a racist white supremacist sign a Civil Rights Bill, president Lyndon B. Johnson. He saw the writing on the wall and had to make Blacks think they were changed, sympathetic to the plight of Black people. He didn't stop being a racist, he could offer them all sorts of free stuff that the government would provide. The trap took effect because of what you noticed; they caught them in a trap of victimhood and dependency. Now the attitude is manifesting as anger and violence at a level we are not used to. LBJ was always a racist, and stayed that way. They have the Blacks right where they want them.

Many don't vote unless they have the support to do so. In most cases they figure "why bother?" When Republican states do everything possible to keep them from voting. Which is voter suppression, and yes, that happens even in a Democracy. Having an Autocrat as President was too much, for over, 80 million people, of every color, and they voted in droves!

Saul Alinsky, (hardly a conservative Republican) had little good to say about "Great Society" programs. Not about social safety nets as a concept, but he railed against programs that rob people of the dignity of making their own way in life. Or those that under the guise of "assistance" actually promote "dependence".
Anyone, not just African Americans can get caught in the dependency trap. Harder to out of than to get into.
Dependent people make dependable voters.

Too many of them have a huge blind spot to being patronized and easily manipulated. They simply don't see it. As a result; emotionally, they are just as owned now, as they were 200 years ago.

I see you are generalizing black people. That's not racist.
