Let x, y be the 2 numbers & x>y, then
x-y=4.56
=>
x=4.56+y
for a given value of y in R there always a value of x
to correspond to it & satisfying the equation. Thus
there are infinitely many (x,y) as the solutions.
For example, taking y=3.56, then x=8.12, etc.
There is no integral solutions of x & y, for
x=114/25+y=4+14/25+y & 14/25 will never
be an integer.
If complex numbers are considered, then
y=a+bi=> x=(4.56+a)+bi, where a,b are in R.
there are also infinitely many solutions of (x,y).

There is an infinite number of solutions.
Just pick one number, add 4.56 to it, and that's your second:
2 and 6.56
