Why do I find fresh pig meat discusting even cooked, but I prefer processed ham?
I feel grossed out with a butcher's shoulder chop, and the the pig ham with gristle and skin. Even if it's oven cooked.
Yet I love a honey glazed processed ham?
I love wild boar though, cow, checken turkey, and deer.

Uncooked ham scares some people, in that they fear trichinosis, which has effectively been wiped out. But some older folks (like my Mom) is absolutely convinced she will die if she eats fresh pork.

My mother used to eat any kind of 'processed' pork [ham, sausages, pork pies, etc,] but she would'nt eat fresh pork, she used to say 'It does'nt do for me', but thats parents for you!
