Why is it ok to show old violent kids cartoons, but not make new violent kids cartoons?

In the 1960's, they produced lots of violet kids cartoons

Bugs Bunny Boom!

Tom and Jerry spank and boom(and nothing happened, I think).  So why was all that removed in current kids shows(Not o Saturday mornings, anymore).  It is on Boomerang.

It's all about the way the standards are written. You'll never see a drop of blood in a Bugs Bunny cartoon. You will in Dragonball Z.

I think that the older, more violent cartoons are being aimed at an adult audience.  In fact, the channels that feature them broadcast a lot of annoying senior commercials.

I dont care what people say, I watch Looney Toons, tom and jerry and played GTA abd what not and i'm a civilised human being. As long as parents are there to teach right from wrong then whats the issue?
