Because studies have shown majority of "homeless" beggars are not really homeless,

For the reason that those of us who live in major cities encounter dozens if not hundreds of homeless persons per day. It's not like we have the resources to hand them each a hundred dollar bill.

There are many reasons. I was a Public Health Nurse for years and had to go out at night looking for homeless people to let them know their STD tests came back positive. Some of them got upset with me for finding them and offer free medicine.
So save your confronting attitude and be kind to everyone.

What do you propose people do instead??? Most just want money for their next fix or alcoholic beverage. Years ago our local newspaper went out in the streets and offered 10 homeless people help in getting a job and a place to stay. All but one of the homeless laughed at them. What do you do???

Because most people know that there are a lot of people trying to help the homeless, but they first have to give up their drug of choice, or else take the drug they need, in order to live a better life. Giving them handouts on the street only prolongs their homelessness.

Our brains can only deal with so much, and so it adjusts its self to all but block them out. This mechanism is so strong that you may walk past someone you know but not recognize them because your brain will fog them out.
