Can you catch covid if you already have covid ?

    No.  Once you catch a virus you are immune to it in the future.

    Given that there are different strains circulating, yes you could get a different strain. Because no national measures were taken and masks were politicized, it will now be something we have to live with and you'll have to get vaccinated annually like the flu vaccine. There is really just not a lot of information out there since it's new to humans.

    After you get covid, you will have immunity for a period of time.  It is unknown how long.  But since people are not getting reinfected, it appears to be at least 8 months.

    Many people in the USA claim to be re-infected but the medical community does not agree with it.

    In June, there was a lady in TX that claimed to have had covid twice in 2 months.  But it wasn't true.  She had the flu in February and covid in June.

    There is a guy in NV that medical researchers claim had covid twice.  He FOR SURE has 2 positive tests many months apart (Mar & July).  However, the first test may have been a false positive. 

    - He took 1 test in late March and 2 in April  The March test was positive and the April tests were negative.

    - He took multiple test in July/August and had multiple positive tests until the virus left his system in August.
