Why doesn't God love Atheists? One has to figure, if God loved Atheists then, having experienced God's love, they wouldn't be Atheists?

(John 3:16) “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."
God doesn't force people to believe and accept the good news of his kingdom.

It is entirely possible to reject the love of someone who loves us, either another human being, or God.

He does love his atheist children unconditionally. The problem is that they hold onto their fantasy that there is no God for dear life, moving the goalposts and committing any number of other logical fallacies so they don't have to think about experiencing him for themselves.

God loves everyone.
Entropy -- "Given that God is typically portrayed as affection starved and craving worship" Funny! You're a real hoot! : )

It's a 2-way street, which is God's part and there is man's part. As illustrated in 2 Chron. 7:14.

God loves EVERYONE (Jn 3:16)--in this life.
The afterlife is a whole different story (Rev 21:8), and greatly depends on how each of us responds to God's love in this life.

God loves everybody! Enough to be the perfect Father and allow His/Her children free will.
When we are born we are effectively blind, and gradually we open our eyes and our other senses, brain, heart. etc. Then we go to school for advancement, and have respite breaks and go back and learn more - according to our abilities and progress.
It is the same (equivalent) spiritually - as above, so below. We don't criticise babies for being who they are so maybe we might try not to judge people who are "spiritual infants" for their as yet spiritual blindness. We were all there once!

No one can experience love from something they don't believe exist.
