How do dogs know that their for legs aren’t food?
From seeing dogs, it seems if you put absolutely anything in front of a dog they will eat it. However they don’t seem to eat their forelegs even though they are also in front of them when they lie down

Dogs don't eat absolutely anything that's put in front of them. They also know that biting their own legs hurt.
You have too much spare time.

I know very few dogs that literally think that everything is food.. Most dogs have enough sense to recognize food from something that is not food
