Does castor oil help hair to grow faster?

It gives it body, and shine, along with helps to prevent breakage! I use dream length shampoo and conditioner by loreal, it has castor oil in it. It won't make it grow faster, but it will help to make it healthy, so far my hair is MUCH nicer!
