Which is correct?

After the graduation the children promised to ...

A. ... stay friends.

B. ... stay as friends.

C. ... stay to be friends.

D. ... stay being friends.

    None are.  The "the" before graduation is not needed.

    If that is taken out, only "C" is incorrect.  "A" is best, but "B," and "D" are fine.
