Why would YA let a user with a swastika profile pic get to level 3?

Update:

I think it’s a user called English!

because no one is reporting them

Because there are ZERO Yahoo and Verizon employees monitoring and moderating the over 1000 YA forums. If users do NOT report the email account and the avatar BY EMAIL to Yahoo customer care AND Verizon nothing will be done. Calling someone out by their user name on YA is a TOS violation.

Who cares what his "symbol" is?  His "symbol" isn't half as offensive as most of the faux "news" articles that have been published by Yahoo over the last several months.  Grow up . . . .

Block them and encourage others here to do the same!  Also, keep reporting their racist posts.

No one working for Yahoo comes here and reviews user avatars/profile pictures. The swastika is actually a very old symbol, from long before the Germans used it, and is still used with a positive meaning in some Hindu and Buddhist countries (prosperity/good luck).

    .

Unless the user is posting hate and/or other violations, the symbol means whatever it means to them (and is likely just used to bait others).

Accounts do get withdrawn, if reported enough times. Easy though, to open new accounts.

I'm surprised by that too because normally all things Nazi are taken down or barred because Y!A's English site (this one) is accessible from Germany and Nazi symbols and holocaust denial, these are illegal in Germany, so Y!A typically takes all that stuff down because if it doesn't, Germany will block access to Y!A's English site in Germany and German users using Y!A's English site results in a significant amount of ad revenue for Yahoo.

You should report that user by reporting them through the Y!A help desk. Even if they have made their ID private, still link to it and copy the web address for it in the address bar of your browser and paste it into the message you submit to the help desk.
