A close friend, a normally hard-nosed theist, fell foul to a mysterious mental condition, suspected to be due to years of substance abuse?

"I was having visions of being judged and being convicted and being incarcerated in the bowels of the Earth, enchained and tortured by demonic entities who, when I asked why I was suffering, screamed at me "You are guilty!" Guilty of a wasted life!". Now he's drug free and rehabilitated somewhat, but still he feels a sense of dread whenever he wonders what awaits him on the other side of this brief existence. Surprisingly he still claims to be theist but veering towards agnostic. Time will tell hmmm?

Hinny, your stories can easily go the other way, see? That is why your stories are so silly.
