    Yes the possibilities are endless when it comes to hobby circuitry. Yes there are many patents you could own if you make unique circuits and patent them. It only costs about $5,000 to $10,000 to patent one.

    @ Jim your referring to making repairs on items that u owned instead of replacing them with a brand new product off the shelf or instead of taking the electronic to get repaired at an electronic repair shop.

    I do my own electronic projects when a finished product is way overpriced. For instance, I made a UVC detector with $10 in parts vs a $200 model. Many times you don't need a patent to sell things.
