Is the Bible still relevant today?

I think it is, but not as a cookbook, a science book, or a chronological journalistic narrative. We have to remember that it was assembled over 1000s of years, has undergone numerous translations (with some likely errors), and it comes from a culture very different from our own. Still, there is value in the story of a people who grew from being essentially a clan, to an ethnic group, to a nation and finally attempting to understand the cosmos--all with limited information. The stories ultimately champion compassion for all, the Universe as a loving place, the importance of treating each other with dignity and respect, and as the primary sentient beings on this world, taking care of the Earth and its inhabitants.

    The Bible says:

“All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial.” 2 Timothy 3:16

To answer, ask yourself: ‘What are the worst problems facing mankind today? Which ones are the most terrifying?’  You might think of warfare, pollution, crime, or corruption. Now consider some principles that the Bible teaches. As you do, ask yourself, ‘If people lived by these values, would the world be a better place?’

    Think about these values:

Just to mention a few practical ways the Bible is relevant. The Bible does not merely list those values. In practical ways, it teaches us to value such principles and to apply them in our day-to-day life. If more people actually applied the teachings listed, would there not be a great impact on mankind’s worst problems? Therefore, the Bible principles are more relevant and timely than ever! What do you think the Bible can do for you right now?

There are three key ways in which the Bible can prove practical in your life. It can teach you how to :

    avoid problems where possible.

    resolve difficulties when they arise.

cope successfully with situations you cannot change.

The relevance of all 66 little books under the one cover of "The Bible" is that it communicates God's dealings with humanity over the centuries, and speaks of what God will yet do in the future. It counteracts all the satanic lies doing the rounds these days, and those who heed its 'good news' (or, gospel message about Jesus) will not be overcome by the evil that is growing and which will culminate before Jesus' appearance.

God's Word to humanity is not only relevant, but essential until the end of time.

Gee, I don't know. Did Armageddon happen already? If not, YES IT IS STILL RELEVANT!

Absolutely! As old as it is, the Bible addresses so many basic human needs including finding meaning in life as well as how to have a reasonable measure of happiness and security, good family relations, and rewarding friendships. It also claims to be inspired by our Creator. It offers to guide us in every aspect of life and to equip us for any challenge that matters. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) What is more, it claims to convey counsel that is timeless—advice that never becomes obsolete! The Bible itself says: “The word of God is alive.”—Hebrews 4:12.

All we have to do is test its principles and see for yourself!

It's relevant in that people are still devoted to it.  It has no relevance in terms of content though.  This is a book claiming to offer moral guidance that condones slavery, discourages science, advocates the murder of homosexuals, heretics, women who don't "know their place", and basically every other out-group.  It is a completely IMMORAL book.

So what little relevance it's content once had has long been lost because religion by nature fails to keep pace with the rest of the culture which has become more moral than the bible.
