Headset not working on computer?
When I connect a headset to the microphone jack, the computer records the sound through the ear bud part not the microphone part so I cannot hear sound coming from my headset instead it records sound through it and I can’t believe this is actually happening lol. I even tried plugging in my Apple earphones to it and somehow it still did the same thing. Anyone ever have this issue before? Need some help thank you

When you plug in the earbuds, you should get a popup that lets you specify mic in or earphones.
That has to be properly set. else you need to set that in control panel.
My Dell only has one 3.5 MM jack, that serves as mic or line input or earphones or line output.

It is an extremely common problem.
Phone & xbox headsets simply use a different wiring standard to normal PC audio.
PCs traditionally use separate three-contact stereo plugs, one per function.
Phones don't have the space, so they use a plug with an extra 4th contact for the mic.
That does not connect to anything in a stereo socket; only the headphones ever connect.
You need an adapter cable to use one type of headset with the other type of device - for a phone / xbox headset, you need a cable with a four-contact socket that separates the mic and headphone wires to two separate three contact plugs.
They are readily available; just search ebay for "PC headset adapter" and look for the ones with one socket and two labelled or colour coded plugs.

maybe you should take it to a computer place and get it fixed
