Who came up with an idea that being religious makes u moral?
if u are an ***, u always will be even if u are religious. Religion is an excuse to commit crime and then repent.

You have it backwards.
Our ancient ancestors saw people die from lightning, floods, earthquakes, and tornadoes, etc., and assumed this was a god who was judging them. In other words, that god was defining a morality with such demonstrations.
So, if you choose to be religious, you seem to be accepting the concept -- but it doesn't mean that you are unfailing in your ability to live up to that.

All the mass murderers and virtually all the serial rapists claim god told them to do it all!
Research shows that the reason humans struggle with emotion to find equitable solutions is pinpointed the region of the brain called the insular cortex, or insula, which is also the seat of emotional reactions.
The fact that the brain has such a robust response to unfairness shows that sensing unfairness is a basic evolved capacity.
The emotional response to unfairness pushes people from extreme inequity and drives them to be fair. This observation shows our basic impulse to be fair isn't a complicated thing that we learn.
It therefore fully illustrates that all humans have morals controlled by the brain and that Christians are entirely wrong to try and claim morals as their own!!!!
But Christians found a way round it!
Government statistics show that Christians are vastly over represented in prisons for sexual, violent and fraudulent crime whilst year on year government figures show atheists make up only 2% of the prison population!
The Catholic Church is paying millions in compensation for the sex/paedophile crimes of their priests alone!
Christians are vastly over represented in the divorce courts!
Christians invented the concept of sin and then the idea that you could sin, ask forgiveness, get pardoned and start with a clean sheet!
So no surprise that they are so expert at it is it‽
A Christian is a man that feels repentance on Sunday for what he did on Saturday and is going to do on Monday. - Thomas Russell Ybarra

The idea of repentance is mainly Christian, so no.

I agree partially. I believe that many people use religion as a crutch to excuse their past crimes, without actually having to go through any real reparations to the people they have injured, but to a mythological higher power instead, which is a very bizarre way of non-apologizing. But to unsophisticated minds in the Bronze Age when the Bible was being slowly composed over centuries, and even today, it is handy and useful to give people rules to follow. Don't eat shellfish is an excellent instruction to a people that don't have refrigeration! Don't murder, don't **** married ladies, don't disrespect your folks, don't enslave and sell your daughter -- I got no problem with having rules that create an orderly, peaceful society. In that sense, religion is moral.

If you join a religion, then there should be a change within you.
If you are not changed, then something is wrong with you, not the religion.

An idiot, clearly. We all know that some of the most immoral people are religious. But you don't need religion to excuse your immorality. Those who say there is no God can be as immoral as they come.

Well, Trump and his supporters have proven THAT wrong!

Most religions require morality. Only Americans expect morality to be separate from religion. They seem to believe that once "saved" they can be as immoral as they like.

Religions came up with it. They wanted to teach their followers that everyone outside the group was untrustworthy. They did it to maintain complete control over the sect.

Wrong . Religion is a way to keep childhood imaginary friends .
