Will I always have herpes after kissing a guy who gets cold sores on his mouth sometimes?

  • You will always have the herpes virus, that doesn't have a cure.

If he didn't have any signs or symptoms of a cold sore at the time you kissed him, your chances of getting oral herpes (cold sores / fever blisters) from him is very small. For some people break outs come and go, or you may be lucky and not get any signs or symptoms. Every one that gets herpes has different experiences with

    break outs.

Also cold sores are not considered to be an std. You can get them on your mouth by being innocently kissed on or around the mouth, by some one that gets cold sores.

Only of kissing or he gives you oral sex during one of his outbreaks.

If he has sores on his mouth do no let him do oral sex.
