How normal is it if a boy started puberty at the average age but he didn't lose all of his baby fat until he was 16 or 17?

It means he was the cute one.  Nobody liked him because he was hot or sexy, he’s the cute one

If a man starts puberty at 11 or 12, maybe 13, he should be done with "baby fat"  within a couple of years of that.  Trying to remember.............. It seems like "baby fat" appears before puberty and the growth during puberty redistributes fat and muscle.  If a guy is 15 or 16 and he's got at least some beard, he needs to look at exercise and what he's eating.

normal, growth works in random spurt s

  • I think you're confused. Puberty doesn't mean that you will lose all your fat. It happens to some boys, but some never lose their fat. Either due to genetic reasons, or just poor lifestyle choices. Look at all the fat man in the world who have never been skinny.

    Please define 'baby fat'.

Pretty much normal, puberty is different for everyone and advances at different rates.

The end outcome seems normal to me.
