    As y > 2x - 5 and y > -2x + 2 we are looking for points above the line y = 2x - 5 and above the line y = -2x + 2

On your diagram it is the dark blue region.

    e.g. point (2, 3)

We can verify this by substituting into the inequalities

    i.e. 3 > 2(2) - 5 and 3 > -2(2) + 2

    Hence, 3 > -1 and 3 > -2...both true

any point in the darker blue section is a solution

    so (2,5)  or x = 2 ,  y = 5  is a solution

All points in the blue triangle represent valid solutions to both inequalities,

but the least occurs at x = 7/4
