How do you think classic videogames today will hold up in the generation of a few hundred years or beyond?

They would still be famous. Some classic games do not give you game fatigue. Mind you, some people do not like playing high graphical games too much so maybe they might like classical games

As museum pieces for the hardware for running them, perhaps, but the likelihood is all video games will be retrievable in digital format.  This is already true for most of the older public domain titles from the 80s and 90s and will be necessary for students studying ancient programming and technology in the future.

Curiosities for the "ultra retro," those interested in game history, and possibly game programmers.

Since Video games have only been the norm for like 30 years. Yeah, they will not hold a candle to their yesterday.

We still read books and listen to music that was written hundreds of years ago, so it's possible modern forms of entertainment could survive that long.

It may be a niche hobby for some and an archeology career for others, but it's possible.
