You're correct. God has billions of Sons and these universes are their playground/Laboratory. With the Father's permission, they were attempting to build their own Heaven. They caused this messed up world from the start by not following instructions. Humans are the product of God's Sons.
Sons of God have always reign as LORDS: NONE of them are GOD the Creator Father. SONS of God are called ANGELS when performing outside of Heaven. Lords ruled in old testament; The CHRIST(not Jesus) IS LORD IN THE NEW TESTAMENT;

on the one hand, there is ONLY ONE GOD, however as ive learned the Godhead of the bible is pluralistic. which means the trinity is either 3in1 or the Godhead is open to invitation. the book of Genesis says the godhead is plural, the preaching of ONE God, for Israel is different than the many gods of egypt and other societies. but still, ONLY ONE God created the earth and this God created the firmament, and Jesus created all things in the earth and its heaven(s). according to the bible there are many Gods in heaven, not all of them are gods and deities deceive many with false religions. satan is a called a God in the new testament, but truth is He was never more than an arch angel. aiui. ONE God created all things, Jesus created all things in the earth. i never once saw a verse that said Jesus Created the universe. which might be a totally different God other than the one that created the galaxy.

According to the old testament of the Bible there was a contest to see who the one true God was a group of people claimed that the true God was the Lord baal the prophet Elijah claimed that the true God was Jehovah hence the name Elijah my God is Jehovah! They settled the argument by building two separate altars the prophets of the Lord called all day to their God to set it on fire and to consume the sacrifice nothing happened then the prophet Elijah soaked his altar down multiple times with water until the altar was literally drowning in water then he looked up to heaven and said so that the nations may know that you whose name alone is Jehovah are the most high over all the Earth. At which time a furious fire came down from heaven and totally consumed Elijah's altar

The God above the gods, obviously. What a silly question. Yes there are thousands of gods but there is only one reality, this is what most major religions refer to as God or Ho Theos, The God. Now in all seriousness. If you know anything about world religions, You will quickly notice that virtually all religions have a concept of a supreme God. Or the God above the gods. Now within the christian tradition, these gods, are angelic beings and demons (in general spiritual beings). The ancient Christian understanding of the world is a lot more dynamic than we moderners think. The world is held together by angelic forces (the gods) who either obey or disobey the divine command of The God. Like in the thought of Aristotle, the world functions under dynamic harmony of different consciousnesses. In other words a Christian world view is more or less on the side of Panpsychism. The side of Idealism posits that the world is the workings of multiple conscious and sub-conscious entities.
