How can I get my non-upscaling 4K TV to upscale?

TV Model: samsung un55ju6700fxza (2015 version)

I have a cable box capable of 4K

I have a TV that is 4k

However most broadcasts are in regular HD and I'd like to upscale all signals so I can view everything in 4k - obviously without buying a new TV.

Is this possible?

    That is not possible.

Upscaling is an extremely complex process

and has to be built into a TV as part of the original design.

Also, upscaling Does Not improve the quality of an image.

What it does is match a lower scan rate from a signal source

to a TV or projector that has a higher scan rate.

If the video has only, say, 238 lines of resolution, that's the best it will ever be    regardless of what kinds of processing it is subjected to.

If your TV doesn't upscale, then you are stuck with the picture quality coming from the cable box.

If you are seeing things in full screen, they are upscaled.

The screen resolution does not change, if it's true 4K ever, then anything at full size is being shown at 4K.
