Why do people in school treat me so badly when I am minding my business?

Why do people so badly want me to be embarrassed that they relentlessly bully me, label anything I do as humiliating or embarrassing even if it’s not, and spread the notion I have no friends? And encourage others to treat me horribly?

They are mean to do that, but it might be because they want you to say hi to them more often and open up once in a while.

Usually bully-ish people pick on people that have an adverse reaction to the attacks and it's usually caused by the bully's own insecurities. The best reaction is to chuckle and smile. Ignore the haters, they just want to bring you down, if you don't let them bring you down they will move on.
