People actually think they can arrive at the truth by averaging what they hear. That’s how most people are taught to think, and may develop a strong belief from unfounded opinion.

“Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong. When they are presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence cannot be accepted. It would create a feeling that is extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance. And because it is so important to protect the core belief, they will rationalize, ignore and even deny anything that doesn’t fit in with the core belief.” – Frantz Fanon

Anything contrary is now anathema, resented; spuriously thrown overboard as wing nut conspiracy talk. Typical. And more importantly…very effective and very efficient.

It is like a poisoning of the mind where repetitive belief becomes dominant and rational thinking atrophies.

The mind loses it’s ability to reason and reprograms itself to parrot the message of the cult. The cult becomes like a virus that consumes the individual and the person becomes a sock puppet, or propaganda terrorist.

Denial of the evidence or absence of the evidence seems to do the trick for most evolutionists. Can't you just feel that cognitive dissonance?

It is very simply not being a vigilant guardian over the doors of one's mind. You decide what happens and dwells there. A conscious effort in that regard according to some guide, I can't imagine a life-guide more true than the Bible, or where else it would even come from, coupled with a course in Logic seems to limit the danger of pathological tendencies, and the myth of evolution for that matter.

If you fail to confirm your starting ASSUMPTIONS before jumping to the conclusions, two errors do not make a right or truth. You have nothing to bring to the table of discussion w/o support in the integrity of the truth of the claim. Failure to satisfy burden of proof is an automatic fail. Evolution fails itself.

You would have to be estranged from reality and the evidence, in total denial, to become delusional enough to think you "know" something when you can't possibly know anything if you've never confirmed anything or established a fact in evidence.

The Top Dog of the Religion & Spirituality section, @Nous, got there by the delusional atheist cheering squad here voting total unfounded opinion, with no evidence whatsoever. One could go on indefinitely, really, adducing one example after another of false or distorted history and then attempting to correct the record.

We all know the militant atheist here; aggressively stalking, blaming and challenging and denying, intentionally lying to create chaos and distraction away from anything resembling reality or worthwhile or contributory, totally pathological. It's always someone else's fault. Someone else is ignorant, they want to explain it to you for the thousandth time, and don't even recognize how pointless they are; completely arbitrary like a child. How do you get so far removed from truth in reality to not realize it? When you avoid, ignore and deny truth, how do you reason logically or recognize virtue, let alone value it? Ah, we're just a mix of atoms? Are these our next mall bombers?

All you have to do to become delusional is deny truth by your choice. So now these delusional maniacs turn on me together when we still had Comments here, stalking me in unison, proclaiming empty and vain rubbish, and deny me, like that's going to help. They've been denying things all their life, right? Why doesn't it work now? Because I challenge them with something legitimate backed up by evidence, and they only have OPINION; bushwhacked, shot down, refuted, demoted and dismissed. And they're mad. They cannot handle the truth, but neither can they handle an intelligent response, because they are delusional.

So what does a cornered delusional person do? Surprise, they deny everything and go ballistic ranting and raving and vehemently denying, and become even more psychotic. These delusional lunatics deny truth verified in front of their face. Troubling, pathetic life choice, but your life.

Tell you what, atheists are so adept at fallacies. I challenge any atheist to give just one argument asserting atheism as a truth that does not rely on one or more logical fallacies. Just one! My email is open. If you cannot support the proposition of atheism as being true, then you are deluding yourself; a self-proclaimed liar. As long as the best you have to offer is inference, anecdote and circular reasoning, but think you "know" something, you have become delusional. The Atheists then insist their position is the absolute truth and anybody who does not agree with them is an idiot. In this respect they make the most hardcore religious fundamentalist look like a wishy-washy liberal.

Viktor Frankl, one of the few survivors of the Auschwitz concentration camp, said life came down to your attitude.

How do you improve your attitude? You think healthy thoughts and don't allow unhealthy thoughts to linger; eject them.

Think on these things (Thought Life)

    Phil 4:8

Whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Or, if you insist on the militant route: One of the most important Samurai texts ever written, by Miyamoto Musashi, “The Book of the Five Rings (1643)”, offers this advice: “Think of what is right and true. Learn to see everything accurately. Become aware of what is not obvious. Be careful even in small matters. Do not do anything useless.”

The craziest thing about atheists is that they claim there are no gods, yet they continue to ask for evidence to prove there are gods???

Delusion 1) Talking to theists/trolls isn't a waste of time.

Delusion 2) Continuing to do #1 will eventually produce a different result.

I can name the two strongest delusions God sent to today's Christians (II Thessalonians 2:11-12),

Who are serving a 3 headed pagan god called a trinity and baptizing themselves with

a powerless trinity-water baptism that does nothing but leaves them "DEAD spirits" (Romans 5:12-14) defying Ephesians 4:5; "one baptism" who "deny the power of God" (II Timothy 3:5) to baptize them (John 1:33).

It is not a delusion but they simply do not want God but want rather to live as they please.

The delusion is the denial of their own conscience which witnesses against them and to the truth of the Judgment.

they think they are smarter than everyone else.

but they can't see True Reality stairing them in the face.
