Is latin even related to greek? Like closely?

    There's shared words between the two languages but they come from different Indo-European roots.

    Some dialects are closer when you look at the ancient ones. But most speakers couldn't understand each other.

    btw, Indo is a Roman Latin spelling of Endo. It means "with in", it has nothing to do with India / Asia (Minor).
