why are there no historical writings that deny the truth of the Gospels?

as noted many times on this forum early historians mention a Christus and his follwers but none deny the content of the gospels, if they were not true then the writers of the day, as in our time, would have condemned them as false.

Update:

Justin and Archer need to study more. GoT, I wasn't referencing any other belief  also if the writers of that day had written what you suggest, the skeptics of today would have them plastered all over the world and Christianity would simply not exist.

I don't know what you mean by "historical writings"...

and I doubt you do, either

    but

    relevant

is the fact that the entire region was demolished by the Romans in the second century.

    ALL of the significant cities

    and even towns and villages

    were looted and burned

followed (for most of them) by physically leveling any stone structures.

According to some historians there was an attempt to wipe out the inhabitants entirely

(note that records describing the "Revolt" - from any perspective - are extremely scarce)

but certainly many non-combatants were enslaved and brought back to Rome.

The gospels were written by primitive goat and sheep herders, its all BS.

The Gospels are full of falsehoods.  The genealogies contradict each other, Jesus could see all the kingdoms on earth from a high mountain, the birth stories contradict each other, the trial and death stories contradict each other to name a few.

No they wouldn't have.  They wouldn't have taken the time to dispute the religious texts of a specific religion.  Especially in the Roman Empire which was generally tolerant of local religions until they adopted Christianity.

Any criticism would have been called heresy and destroyed and the authors declared heretics and burned.

Understand that none of the cannons, which were "gospels" for different sects of Christianity were written by those present a the presented times. They church, in the fourth century attempting to solidify the faith, selected, edited and compiled some and presented them as the "bible" in this attempt. As you can plainly see, they failed! It seems you can not dictate how one will perceive, interpret or present that which is created by man.

Have you left voluminous writings condemning Mormon writings as false?  Why doesn't the Muslim leadership preserve and publicize everything that was ever said condemning that religion as false?  Contemporary authors had plenty to say about how wrong Christianity was, but you naively expect your religious leaders to tell you about those writings. Sorry, but you're going to have to read some real history to get that side of the story.  Your pastor will pretend no such writings exist.
