How long do you have to be in contact with someone infected with COVID-19 to catch the virus?

If I'm face to face with a maskless person for less than 15 seconds is there any risk?

Even a sec, your meant to quarantine yourself for 2weeks as that's all it takes. This is why is keeps spreading. Idiots not caring.

  • If you were practicing physical distancing, very low.

If you were in close contact with them, less then 6 ft away (you weren't wearing a mask), and they had covid 19 there's a good chance you could get it.

Have a mask with you, in case physical distancing may be challenging.

That's one of the problems -- NO ONE really knows!

But, if you think about it, the contagion rate seems to be a lot less than the fear factor suggests. It's not 0%, but it sure isn't 100%. It may be as low as 2% or as high as 30%.

However, breathing in the virus after the person coughs violently does seem to eventually lead to catching it.
