    (2-8i)(5-4i)=10-8i-40i-32=-22-48i

    =10 - 48i + 32i^2

    =10 - 48i - 32    note i^2 = - 1

    = -22 - 48i Answer//

    FOIL   (2 - 8i)(5 - 4i) = (2 x 5) + (2 x -4i) + (-8i x 5) + (-8i x -4i) =

    10 - 8i - 40i + 32i^2 = 10 - 48i - 32 = -22 - 48i

    (2 - 8i)(5 - 4i)

    =  10 - 8i - 40i + 32i^2   ...  just like expanding the product of binomials 

    =  10 - 48i + 32(-1)

    = -22 - 48i  <<<  answer
