    Eventually, omnivores would be the only animals alive.

    There are animals that eat bacteria deep in the ocean. Plants or other photosynthetic organisms are not always needed in an ecosystem.

    without hebivores plants would start dominating the landscape and carnivores would eventually run out of food as they only had each other to consume
