What would happen of you slash someone with a sword in space?

I guess this is multiple parts. But im thinking the person being slashed is freefloating. The person doing the slashing freefloating vs propelled in some way.

How mcuh does no resistance save the person from harm? Would you make it through flesh and the other person not push away till you hit bone?

There would be no difference between a sword cut in space or one on Earth. (ignoring what the person is wearing) Why do you say the person has no resistance? His mass is still the same. And that mass has inertia. It takes the same force to accelerate an object in space as on Earth. Gravity has nothing to do with it. The sword cut will still cut the person in half, and that will hurt a bit.

There would be ~5L of blood all over "space".
