Is there a guaranteed way to stay safe in the military?
Like if you were fighting a war, if you were skilled enough, will you able to prevent getting shot?

Skill and intelligence usually works, but like life in general, sometimes it's a matter of just dumb luck.

i mean you join the military because ur willing to die for your country theres ways of preventing death but theres no guarantee you wont die

Being skilled helps, but that doesn't 100% guarantee you to be completely safe. Example, being a super skilled soldier won't prevent the vehicle you're riding in (ex: humvee) from driving over an IED that no one found, it won't prevent the helicopter you're riding in from getting shot down, it won't prevent training accidents, etc.
Nothing will keep you 100% safe in the military. If you're worried about dying, best not to join.

Not 100% guarantee. Pick a Military Job that does not involve direct combat.
Air Force for Example. Air Craft Maintenance. The pilots do the fighting, you do the repairs on a base far from the action.
Your at more danger driving your car on the Freeway then in the Military.

No, personal weapons account for a very low proportion of casualties on a battlefield-so being skillful accounts for nothing when it comes to impersonal weapons.

Yeah. Don't join the military. Problem solved.

The soldier, the seaman, the airman, the marine and the coast guard are first and foremost a warrior. Your prime duty is to fight the enemy (yes, with a gun) and that is your primary duty. In southeast Asia, we had a name for all the desk drivers and paper sorters. We called the R.E.M.Fs. Rear Echelon Mother F***ers. They were looked down upon by front line troops.

Why care about safety?? If you die, you will die for your country. It's a matter of pride to die for your motherland.

your chances of being shot is higher as a civilian than it is in the military

forget the military, life in general offers no guarantee of staying safe
