There's a beeping noise coming from my fan?

I have heard of fans picking up a radio transmitter. Could there be a radio box nearby?

See if it is a bug in there.

I had box fans and never herd such a thing on any of then. I would check to see if there is a audio beep that is in the fan itself that lets you know something about the fan whether the setting needs attention.

If you have a mechanical or an electric can opener in your household I am sure that it is not involved.

There could be. Just separate them.

    Exactly ---

and you Do need to be specific --- WHERE

did you "hear" of fans picking up radio transmissions?

It is technically possible, but it is SO REMOTE a possibility

that there is a much better chance of pigs flying.

The transmitter would have to be both extremely powerful

(tens of thousands of watts, so think broadcast, not amateur)

    and Very close by ---

probably within a hundred feet or so, and that is Not likely.

Fan is a mechanical device that ever able to pick up any radio signal.
