Can you eat the sprouting part of turnip roots?

I often buy turnips (the root) and sometimes before I can cook them, they sprout little turnip greens at the top.  Is it okay to eat those mini turnip greens?

Update 2:

Anonymous:  thank you so VERY much!  :)

Yes you can.  People who grow turnips at home often harvest a few leaves at a time deliberately.  They're delicious cooked down in olive oil, a little garlic and pinch of chili flakes.
