Which sentence is better?

A. Then he left, his laptop and laser pointer in his hand.

B. Then he left, laptop and laser pointer in his hand.

    Either works.  The second sentence is the same as the first with the word "his" being implied by the context of the sentence.

    They are both correct, but the one that doesn't unnecessarily repeat "his" reads better.
