The incubation period for COVID is 2-14 days so if you test negative after 14 days of quarantine, you don’t have it. The players have been quarantined for 14 days and get tested every 2 days so that if they test positive, they’ll still be in the non-contagious stage. The players shouldn’t get COVID if they stay within the bubble with no outsiders coming in.
